Ridge loop via the old mill
A long climb through beech woods, then a bare ridge with the lake far below. Blueberries in August.
Forest August records your route, gathers the photos you took along the way and gives you one quiet page per day on the trail. No feed, no likes — just your own walks, kept for good.
Tap once at the trailhead. The app keeps your track and elevation with the screen off, and keeps going when there is no signal.
At the end of the day your photos are matched to the exact spot you took them. Add a few lines about the weather, the people, the lunch.
Years later, open the same page and walk it again — or export the route to any GPX-capable map and lead a friend there.
Download a region before you leave. Topographic lines, trails and water, no signal needed.
Every photo lands where it was taken. Scroll the track and watch the day unfold.
A full day on the trail costs about a quarter of your battery. We measured it so you don't have to.
Not a feed. Each day on the trail gets its own page with the route, the photos and your notes.
GPX and a plain PDF of the journal. Your walks are never locked in.
Hand a trail to your family or a walking group. Nothing is public unless you make it so.

An easy valley walk that follows the water the whole way. Good with children, better with a picnic.
Steep, short and worth every step. Start in the dark and you'll have the top to yourself at sunrise.
Yes. Recording uses only the GPS receiver, and downloaded regions include full topographic maps. Everything syncs when you are back in range.
Nothing is deleted. You keep every recording and can still export it; only sync and extra offline regions are paused.
Any GPX file can be imported, with photos matched by time if you add them afterwards.
